Dieting Demystified: An Intro

Hey self thinkers this is Mr. Cogfit breaking down the good, the bad, and the ugly of dieting in a series of blog post. I will go over the science, misconceptions, and considerations of many dieting approaches.
First we need to specify what we mean by dieting, dieting refers to a persons general pattern of eating. In that respect we all have a diet as human beings because it's safe to say many of us do not eat random foods at random times everyday. This is the general definition of dieting so it should not have the a automatic negative connotation to it. However, in this series when I mention the word 'diet' it will be in reference to many short term dietary interventions aka fad diets.
Through this series of post I hope to inspire critical thinking and a general willingness to learn about nutrition.
